The Greater Sudbury Airport will be conducting a comprehensive 12-hour Emergency Exercise on site on September 25, 2024. The exercise will not impact airport operations or travel plans.

Canadian Airports Launch First-ever Canadian Airports Safety Week

Sudbury- The Sudbury Airport, along with 23 other airports across Canada, kick-off Canadian Airports Safety Week, a new airport-led initiative to promote healthy and safe work practices among airport employees.

The first program of its kind for the Canadian aviation industry, Canadian Airports Safety Week aims to reach thousands of airport employees across the country with various safety talks, themed messaging and events, which were developed in collaboration with participating airports.

The Greater Sudbury Airport will be undertaking a FOD walk and delivering daily safety messages within the airport community.

Canadian Airports Safety Week is an airport-led initiative to promote healthy and safe work practices among airport employees. Currently in its first year, there are 24 airports across Canada participating in the initiative.

The Sudbury Airport Community Development Corporation is a not-for-profit, non-share capital corporation that manages the Greater Sudbury Airport (YSB). Regular scheduled flights provided by Bearskin Airlines offer air service to and from many Northeastern Ontario centres. Sunwing Airlines offers flights from Greater Sudbury to various sun destinations from November to April.
