Air Terminal Building: The GSA is continually working to create a barrier free facility for all guests and passengers. All of our public facilities are fully accessible by wheelchair. All doorway signage is fully equipped with Braille symbols to assist the vision impaired.
Parking: Spaces close to the terminal entrance are reserved for drivers who possess a handicap parking permit.
Taxi/Shuttle Service: Accessible vehicles are available upon request please make arrangements with the transportation company in advance of your travel to ensure timely service.
Medical Room: The Greater Sudbury community is a leader in healthcare and particularly, in cancer research and treatment. We often have individuals and families passing through the airport for treatment or who are visiting patients in Greater Sudbury. We recognize the importance of providing these individuals with a private, quiet comfortable place to rest when flights are delayed or when they are awaiting transportation.
We have dedicated a room at the airport for this purpose and have divided the space into a resting area with a bed as well as an adjoining comfortable sitting area for family or friends who may accompany the ill person. The room is located adjacent to the Security Supervisor’s office. This room has also been stocked with first aid medical supplies such as hot/cold compacts, rubber gloves, emergency blankets, etc. If you require the use of this space during your travels, please ask any airport employee and they will assist you.
